Introduced in 2011 by SAFRA Tampines, SAFRA Swim For Hope provides an opportunity for Operationally Ready National Serviceman and their families to contribute to charitable causes, while promoting fitness and bonding through swimming.
The event adopts various charities each year to raise funds to help those in need. SAFRA Swim For Hope has raised close to S$1m in total since, benefitting more than 12 charity organizations such as Autism Resource Centre, Cerebral Palsy Alliance Singapore, Down Syndrome Association and SAF Care Fund.
SAFRA Swim For Hope 2024 aims to empower communities through the transformative power of swimming, by raising funds to provide access to swim education, promote health while fostering a culture of inclusivity and family bonding.

The President's Challenge is a national movement led by the President to rally Singaporeans to build a caring and cohesive society together. An annual community outreach, President's Challenge aims to bring together people from all walks of life, under the President's patronage, to help those who are less fortunate. 100% of donations raised under President’s Challenge go to beneficiary organizations supported by President’s Challenge. | |
The SAF Care Fund provides additional support to SAF servicemen who are severely disabled due to military service and require long-term care and support. The fund relies on monies donated by public. | |
Through the Singapore Aquatics (SAQ) Development Fund, SAQ will continue the Empowering Lives through Aquatics program - an initiative which aims to provide an opportunity for vulnerable children and youth in Singapore to learn to swim. Through fundraising campaigns and partnering with swim lesson providers and water safety advocates across the country, SAQ helps to support swimming lessons and educate children and their families on the importance of having a life skill like learning how to swim. |
