International Relations - VECONAC Highlights

2020 VECONAC Working Committee Meeting (WCM) goes virtual

The 2020 VECONAC Working Committee Meeting (WCM) on 21 October 2020 went virtual for the first time due to the COVID-19 pandemic which prevented the 10-member countries from meeting physically.

Hosted by Vietnam, the WCM meeting decided to defer the 33rd Executive Board Meeting and 20th General Assembly, originally scheduled for December 2020. Both meetings will now be held in 2021 with Vietnam continuing as the VECONAC Chair.

Vietnam will hand over the VECONAC Chair to Thailand at the end of the 20th General Assembly in 2021.
